High Quality Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL)
NK's Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) utilizes high-quality sodium bentonite and high-strength geotextiles, produced using a fully automated needle-punched composite production line through a process of needle punching and bonding. Each batch undergoes testing for expansion index, permeability coefficient, and unit area mass deviation, strictly complying with the national standard for "Geosynthetics - Bentonite Composite Liners" and ASTM D6103.
This product is not only used in domestic hazardous waste disposal sites, contaminated site remediation, and subway tunnel projects, but is also exported to 15 countries and regions, including Germany, Australia, Brazil, and Malaysia, becoming a preferred material for environmentally friendly anti-seepage projects.

Advantages & Strengths
Water-Activated Self-Expanding Impermeability:
Sodium bentonite expands 10-15 times its volume upon contact with water, forming a dense colloidal impermeability layer. Its permeability coefficient can be as low as 10⁻⁹cm/s, far exceeding that of traditional impermeability materials, and it can actively fill tiny gaps.
High Interlayer Anchoring:
A needle-punching process allows the fibers of the upper and lower geotextile layers to penetrate the bentonite core, forming a "fiber skeleton-bentonite" interlocking structure that prevents core layer displacement or interlayer separation under external forces.
Ultra-Low Permeability:
The expanded bentonite colloid tightly fills pores, providing long-term resistance to the penetration of water and pollutants (such as heavy metals and organic waste liquids), making it suitable for applications with high impermeability requirements.
Broad Environmental Adaptability:
Tolerant to acidic and alkaline environments with a pH range of 3-11, resistant to freeze-thaw and aging, and stable in temperatures between -30°C and 60°C, unaffected by complex geological conditions.
Lightweight Construction:
The finished product weighs only 3-6 kg/m², significantly lighter than concrete lining. It can be deployed by a single person without the need for large lifting equipment, significantly reducing construction effort in underground projects and on steep slopes.
Popular Applications
Landfill Secondary Impermeability:
4500g/m² Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) is used as a backup impermeable layer beneath the landfill's primary impermeable membrane (HDPE membrane) to prevent leachate leakage if the primary membrane breaks.
Hazardous Waste Disposal Site:
5500g/m² Geosynthetic Clay Liner + 0.5mm HDPE membrane composite GCL is used as a barrier layer at the bottom and around the site, effectively preventing toxic and hazardous waste from penetrating and contaminating the soil and groundwater.
Artificial Lake/Landscape Pond Liner:
5000g/m² Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL): Laid above the plain soil layer at the pond bottom, it replaces traditional cement mortar lining. It expands to form a flexible, impermeable layer that adapts to water pressure and terrain deformation.
Subway Tunnel Waterproof Cushion:
4000g/m² Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL): Installed between the primary tunnel support and the waterproofing sheet, it expands with water to fill gaps in the support and prevent groundwater from seeping into the tunnel.
Contaminated Site Remediation Barrier:
6500g/m² Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL): Laid between contaminated soil and uncontaminated areas, it forms a vertical or horizontal barrier to prevent the spread and migration of pollutants.
